Getting unstuck in Hollow Pines without a walkthrough

August 9, 2026 · Marek Kowalczyk

Hollow Pines rarely gets you stuck on logic. It gets you stuck on attention. Almost every time I couldn't progress, the answer was a detail in a scene I'd walked past too quickly.

Before reaching for a hint, revisit every room and tap on things you haven't examined yet. The game hides small cues in background objects, and a second look usually reveals what you missed the first time.

Keep track of items you're carrying and think about where they logically belong. The puzzles here follow real-world sense rather than adventure-game absurdity, which makes brute-forcing rarely necessary.

When I did use the hint system, it nudged me toward the right area instead of solving it outright. That kept the satisfaction intact, which is rare for a mobile adventure.

It's a short game, so resist the urge to rush. Slowing down and soaking in the atmosphere is genuinely how you make progress here.
